APPLE WAGON DAY TRIP

How was your weekend?  What a weekend I had.  A few church buddies and myself took a day trip Saturday to my favorite shopping spot (well, I have A LOT of favorite shopping spots) but this is my newest found only last summer by chance.

Located on 1-70 (Exit 155) in Williamsburg, Missouri

The Apple Wagon is a HUGE antique mall with the added bonus of a HUGE Garden Decor and Home Decor Outlet. It's like a one stop shopping center.  No matter what you are in the market for you can get it here (well, almost).  Whether you are in the market for antique dishware (or just about any other vintage or antique treasure--

How about some depression glassware?
If you're not interested in vintage dishware, how about some new, beautiful FIESTAWARE (in every color of the rainbow)--

Or maybe you are in the market for some Country style decor--

How about some cottage style decor--

How about a cloche or some garden style decor--

They have glass cloches, chicken wire cloches,
french style cloches, small cloches and large cloches
they have just about any cloche you can imagine
(all at very LOW PRICES!)

Apple Wagon always has a large selection of garden style decor.
They have birds, bird cages, bird houses, framed art and too much
more to mention.  OOOHH, HOW I LOVE THIS PLACE!
Are you in the market to throw together a new spring floral?  How about shopping Apple Wagon's floral warehouse for just the right bouquet--

They have just about any floral stem you can imagine and some of them
starting at just .49.  I think the most expensive one I saw was just
$4.99 (these are high quality and cheaper than Wal-mart!)  AMAZING!
They also have tons of premade floral arrangements (not pictured).  From wreaths to standing arrangements and anything in between.  All at very low prices.

Or maybe you are just in the mood for spring.  Gardening fever has taken over and you just can 't wait to get outside.  If so, Apple Wagon is sure to have a little something just in case you want to get a head start decorating your garden this year.

They have planters, wrought iron garden furniture,
wrought and wood gazebos, lots of adorable garden animal decor
and, if you are a rooster lover, you have to come check out
their metal rooster garden art which come in a variety of sizes.
Anyway,  I wish I could've gotten some more pictures but I was too busy admiring EVERYTHING and making my WISH LIST.

Surprisingly, I only bought a few items.  Oh sure there was so much more I wanted to buy, but I don't think the gazebo would've fit in the van, rofl.  However, I did purchase a beautiful new runner for my buffet...

(oh drats, I didn't realize the shade on my lamp was crooked when I
snapped this shot), must've happened when I swapped out the
runners, lol.

This beautiful runner only set me back $6.99
How's that for a bargain
Don't you just love the colors?  My old runner was a beautiful cream Mattelasse style which was gorgeous but this just adds so much color.  I really love it.  (awww, I could've used this as a meta monday pic but I forgot to take a before shot, lol); I guess I was so excited and anxious to see how it would look.  Do you ever do that?

I also picked up a couple floral stems to make an arrangement for my little screened porch.  I chose a pink flowering dogwood stem ($3.99) and another pretty little green flowering stem ($1.99) (not sure what kind of flower it is) to put in a little bird cage I had at home.

Notice the sunshine?  I love it!

Although you really can't tell from these pics, the dogwood matches the pattern on the cushion covers that I made from a cute little tablecloth I found at a thrift store last year.  I think I only paid 50 cents for it.  Now if I just had a little birdie to nest here it would be complete.

The ride home was really exciting.  After stopping to have a mexican lunch (one of my favs) we stopped at a beautiful antique and gift boutique in Owensville, Missouri.  We spent more than an hour browsing their goods, and my what an assortment of treasures they had (unfortunately, and although I really wanted to, I couldn't get any pics there) but, if you are ever in the area you really must stop at YESTERYEAR ANTIQUES & COLLECTIBLES for a peak.  You won't be disappointed!

...and last, but not least, on our little day trip we stopped at a little thrift shop in Owensville, where I hit PAY DIRT...I found nearly a four piece place setting of PB Emma dinnerware for a grand total of (ARE YOU READY FOR THIS)...$3.50 (happy dance).  Although the set was missing the cereal bowls and two mugs, I am still totally thrilled at my bargain.

This is very hard to read as my camara does not have a good
automatic focus, but I assure you this is PB Emma

Can you see the price tags on these.  I paid .50 per plate, .25 per salad plate
and .25 per mug (UNBELIEVABLE)
Right now this dinnerware on PB's website for a complete 16 piece set is retailing for $159.00.  I think I got a great deal!!!

If you are ever in the Missouri area put Apple Wagon on your PLACES TO GO list.  The following is a link to their website and directions if you are ever in the area.  http://www.applewagonhome.com/
